Find out how our Christmas Ceramic Ornaments are Made in Croatia
Behind the Scenes! Do you want to know how our Croatian Christmas Ceramic Ornaments are Made?
Behind the Scenes
Every Uppermoda Christmas ceramic ornament begins its life in Croatia, where skilled artisans shape each piece by hand. The process starts with ceramic clay, rolled and cut into ornament forms. A delicate lace imprint is pressed into the surface, capturing intricate traditional patterns that echo Croatian textile heritage.
Once the clay has been shaped and imprinted, each ornament is fired, then double-glazed to achieve a glossy, durable finish. The double glazing not only enhances the vibrancy of the colors but also protects the lace detail, ensuring the ornament remains beautiful for many holiday seasons.
The collection is available in three classic colorways:
- Red — a warm, festive tone
- White — crisp and elegant
- Blue — a nod to the Croatian sky and sea
A short video was produced to walk through the entire manufacturing process, from raw clay to the finished glazed ornament. It highlights the artisanal care and attention that goes into every piece — a true collaboration between Uppermoda and craftspeople in Croatia.
